FAQs

  • Absolutely! I have lots of experience travelling both domestic and internationally! I create packages specifically for destination weddings, so don’t hesitate to reach out!

  • I prefer to work alone due to wanting a consistency with my overall workflow and edits. That said, there is the option to pay extra to have a second shooter. I do need at least a years notice so I can find a reliable photographer, that is willing to also accept my wage.

  • I definitely take on indoor venues, but I am very specific on the locations I photograph. I do not accept ceremonies or receptions held in conference centres, halls, sports clubs, and chain hotel settings. I am so very passionate about my craft and wish that potential clients can understand that. Going through the images on my website and Instagram can help paint a picture of what settings I do accept working in.

  • It will depend on the day of the event/session. If you want to extend your session, it will depend if I have other commitments. If I don't, an additional 30 minutes is $200.

Weddings are $300.00 for additional time past the contracted hours agreed upon.

  • Yes! Sessions require a retainer of 50% of the overall owing and weddings require a $1,400 retainer + HST. Without payment, the booking is not solidified.

  • I use 2 Nikon Z6ii’s with a 50mm lens and a 35mm lens, as well as an 85mm lens for those extra needed close up shots. I have two cameras for a couple reasons. One being I can use multiple lenses during the ceremony and portrait time. Second reason is for emergency reasons such as one camera breaking during the event. I also always carry multiple SD cards and batteries on me as back up! During the reception hours, I do have a flash on hand if additional light assistance is needed.

  • I am licensed with the province as a legit business. I also have business insurance and can provide the policy upon request.

  • You can order prints through me for an additional fee! I give full printing rights to my clients in a written and signed contract. I can offer suggestions for great printing companies if you choose to not order prints through me. Best advice is to take a photographer's advice... don't use Walmart for printing your images.

  • There is an opportunity to reschedule but I do ask that I have at least 48 hours of notice. If the weather is bad, or an illness arises, there will not be any extra fees for a last minute change in plans. However, your session cost is locked in for one calendar year. Should rescheduling move into the next calendar year, the cost will change to reflect new pricing. If a wedding needs to be postponed, second payment will be halted, and resumed once a new date is agreed upon. If a wedding needs to be rescheduled a second time and there is less than 6 months notice, there will be a postponement fee to make up for a loss in my income.

    RETAINERS ARE NON REFUNDABLE.

  • Upon booking your session, give as much detail about your goal for your session. I need names, a date, a location, and your envision right off the bat. I will reply within 48 hours of your inquiry with either telling you I am booked for that date or if I am available. I will send out a "check in" email a week after your inquiry, and if I do not receive a response after that, I will assume you are no longer interested. Bookings work as first come first serve, so be on top of your emails!

Please note that minis have a smaller window to solidify a booking due to the high demand in inquiries

  • Duh.

  • I keep on top of the weather forecast leading up til the day of your session. I will offer a reschedule date based off my current availability. If you cannot work with a new date I have offered, you will not get your deposit back. I will shoot in light rain, but will not shoot in harsh elements due to the risk of damaged gear.

  • Every session is different and so are the outcomes. It will depend on the length of your session, as well as weather, lighting situations, and the overall nature of the day.

As for a wedding day, the similar answer applies. The longer I am with you, and the more action/moments that are happening, the more images I can capture. There is an estimate of 80-100 images per hour but again, that is very much dependent on schedule and day of events.

  • Heck yes! I always suggest bringing a neutral coloured blanket to use during the session, as well as any other props/items that signify your session.

  • It's totally normal to feel this way leading up to your session. Remind yourselves why this is important to you, and that the session will go by really quickly.

    Other tips include:

Make a playlist to play during your session full of songs you both love to jam out to.

Pick or have a suggested private location for your session.

Bring alcohol... nothing like some liquid courage!

  • It depends on the season you have your event/session in. During off season (January to May) you can receive your portrait gallery between 1-2 weeks, while a wedding will be 3-5 weeks. In high season (June to December) your portrait gallery will be delivered between 2-3 weeks and your wedding gallery can take up to a 3 months.
