I wanted to create a session that encapsulated summer in Deep River in a way that felt like a classic coastal town. The beaches are gorgeous and the rolling hills create a landscape that pulls you out of being present in Ontario. Ashton and Cody brought that vision to life with their joy for water sports and the easy chemistry they share.
We spent the evening romping around the shoreline, letting them paddle, splash, and laugh without much direction. The energy they brought made the images feel spontaneous and alive — sunlit smiles, damp hair, and moments that read like an endless summer.
A classic valley thunderstorm threatened to cut the session short, but instead it added drama: wind-swept poses, playful racing against the clouds, and a few perfect candid shots when the rain held off. By the end of the shoot the clouds parted and the sun broke through in golden rays. Those last frames, with light pouring over the water ended the session on a high note!
