Kamaniskeg Lake Intimate Wedding

Jake’s family has owned a gorgeous property on Kamaniskeg Lake in Barry’s Bay for generations, so when Jake and Dani decided to get married, an intimate lakeside wedding was the obvious choice. The day was quietly perfect — soft light, clean details, and a chic, effortlessly timeless vibe. As a big fan of Carley Fortune novels, it was exciting getting to shoot on this iconic Barry’s Bay lake!

Ceremony and reception were all about simplicity that felt intentional: white florals, natural textures, and those little heirloom touches that made the day uniquely theirs. The highlight for me was shooting their portraits on Jake’s grandfather’s vintage wooden boat. The boat’s varnished wood and classic lines paired with Dani’s elegant dress and Jake’s relaxed, refined look created images that felt editorial and intimate at once. I kept thinking they could have stepped right out of a Vogue spread.

These are the moments I love — small, meaningful gatherings where every detail has a story and the surroundings are as much a part of the portrait as the couple. Jake and Dani’s day on Kamaniskeg was exactly that: timeless, personal, and quietly stunning.
