Intimate Backyard Elopement - Carleton Place

Kelsey and Brandon's elopement in their own backyard was a beautiful showcase of love and tranquility. As a witness to their special day, it was hard to believe that an event was taking place at all, as the atmosphere was so laid back and relaxed.

For Kelsey, it was important that the day be filled with love, but in a soothing and calm manner. And this vision was absolutely achieved. After experiencing three difficult years filled with stress and sadness, seeing their families come together to celebrate their love was truly heartwarming. As I reflect on the events of their day, there are a few favourite moments that stand out, like cuddling a cute kitten and enjoying the warmth of doggo snuggles. Before the festivities truly began, I had the delightful opportunity to help Kelsey pick flowers on the side of the road that would later complete the decorations on the tablescape. Documenting Kelsey take a moment to herself to complete her vows to Brandon and pull her tarot cards for the day was such a peaceful moment to witness. As the day progressed and the elopement celebrations reached their peak, a different side of the couple began to emerge - one that was infused with creativity and a playful sense of fun. This welcomed shift occurred once they were able to relax and proudly present their pot plants in all their glory. These two truly are the coolest.

I found myself shedding more tears during their ceremony than I ever had before. Each family member had the chance to come forward and share a small devotion to the couple. These heartfelt speeches left everyone feeling overwhelmed with emotion, but in the most wonderful way possible. It was such a beautiful thing to witness.

To conclude the elopement, a small late lunch was served, leaving everyone with a sweet and joyful aftertaste. It was a lovely note to end the celebration on, capturing the spirit of the day perfectly.
